Absence of Replication for the Myosin 18b Relationship with Numerical Capacity in Free Companions

The association between myosin-18B and mathematical ability has been the subject of considerable scientific interest in recent years. Initial
studies reported a positive correlation between certain genetic variants of myosin-18B and enhanced mathematical skills. However, the validity
of this association has come into question due to a lack of replication in independent cohorts. Subsequent attempts to replicate the findings in
different populations or cohorts have yielded inconsistent and conflicting results. Several independent studies have failed to observe a significant
association between myosin-18B and mathematical ability. These studies involved diverse populations, ranging from different ethnicities to
