Chronic disease surgery encompasses a wide range of surgical interventions aimed at managing conditions that are long-lasting, often
progressive, and require ongoing medical attention. These surgeries are performed with the goal of alleviating symptoms, slowing disease
progression, improving quality of life, and in some cases, achieving a cure. Chronic diseases that commonly require surgical intervention include
cardiovascular diseases, cancer, diabetes, respiratory disorders, and musculoskeletal conditions, among others. In the realm of cardiovascular
diseases, surgical procedures are often employed to restore blood flow to the heart, repair damaged valves, or correct structural abnormalities.
