Total homocysteine is a non-protein amino acid that is produced during the metabolism of methionine, an essential amino acid found in many
proteins. Elevated levels of tHcy have been identified as a risk factor for several chronic diseases, including cardiovascular disease. In this article,
we will discuss the relationship between tHcy and CVD, and the mechanisms by which elevated tHcy levels may contribute to the development
