HIV Infection: The Silent Pandemic and Advances in Treatment

HIV infection remains a global health challenge, often termed the silent pandemic due to its persistent impact on individuals and communities worldwide. Despite significant strides in prevention and treatment, HIV continues to pose formidable obstacles to public health. This abstract explores recent advances in HIV treatment, including the development of antiretroviral therapies that enhance efficacy and reduce side effects, as well as novel approaches such as long-acting injectables and gene editing technologies. Additionally, it highlights ongoing efforts to address disparities in access to care and combat stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS.
