  Inositolic Derivatives Combined With Proresolutive Lipid Mediators: Preliminary Results in the First−Line Treatment of Patients with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

  Objective: To evaluate the effect of the combination of inositolic derivatives and lipid mediators on the metabolic and inflammatory profile of women with polycystic ovary syndrome. Material and methods: Experimental, prospective and longitudinal study carried out in patients diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (Rotterdam criteria) without treatment or previous dietary intervention. The following nutritional preparations were administered orally daily: Group A: 300mg D-chiro-inositol, 1099mg myo- inositol + 30mg lipinova Group B: 4000 mg of myo-inositol + 30 mg of lipinova The metabolic profile is compared before and after 4 weeks of treatment in each patient, determining the insulin levels and the HOMA index.
