  Biodiversity, the variety of life on Earth, is under increasing threat due to human activities and environmental degradation. To safeguard and promote biodiversity, effective environmental assessments are crucial tools. This article explores the significance of environmental assessments in biodiversity conservation, highlighting their key role in identifying potential threats, assessing impacts and designing mitigation strategies. Through case studies and examples, we illustrate how these assessments can be applied to various ecosystems and projects.
