Analyzing Mental Workload among Deep-sea Oceanauts during Driving Operation Tasks Using EEG Data
Author(s): Guang Cong*
Deep-sea oceanauts operate in challenging and high-stress environments where cognitive workload plays a pivotal role in task performance and safety. This study aims to analyze mental workload among deep-sea oceanauts during driving operation tasks using Electroencephalogram (EEG) data. We collected EEG data from oceanauts engaged in simulated driving tasks in a submersible vehicle, assessing cognitive workload through neural markers. Our findings reveal distinct patterns of mental workload across different phases of the driving operation, shedding light on the cognitive demands and potential stressors faced by oceanauts in these conditions. This research contributes to enhancing safety and performance optimization for deep-sea missions... Read More»
