    Invasive fungal diseases represent a significant threat to human health, particularly in individuals with compromised immune systems. These diseases are caused by various fungi that have the capability to invade tissues and organs, leading to serious illness and sometimes death if left untreated. Understanding the mechanisms behind invasive fungal diseases, their risk factors, diagnostic methods and treatment options is crucial for effective management and prevention. Fungi are ubiquitous in our environment and while many are harmless or even beneficial, some species can cause severe infections in humans.
