    Wildfires are a significant environmental hazard, often resulting in extensive damage to ecosystems, property and human health. This article examines the complex relationship between wildfires, air quality and public health. It explores the dynamics of wildfire smoke, the methods used to assess air quality during wildfires and the public health impacts of wildfire smoke exposure. Additionally, it discusses strategies for mitigating the health effects of wildfires and building resilience to future wildfire events.
