The convergence of textile engineering and healthcare has led to the development of specialized fabrics designed for medical and biotechnological applications. Textiles for health, also known as medical textiles, are a growing field within the textile industry, focusing on the creation of fabrics that offer not only traditional comfort and durability but also specialized properties such as biocompatibility, antimicrobial resistance, and the ability to monitor or treat health conditions.
