  Commercial Operation of 2.82 mw Pakpattan Hydropower Plant in Punjab Pakistan

  The 2.82 MW Pakpattan Hydropower Project (PHP) lies on Pakpattan Canal, achieved commercial operation on December 2016. Construction of the power plant began in May 28, 2012 and was completed at a cost of US $10.64 million in December 30, 2016. It is capable of generating enough electricity to power approximately 35,000 homes in Punjab Province and will offset more than 2500t of greenhouse gases annually.
