  Pain management in pediatric patients is a critical aspect of medical care that necessitates specialized approaches due to the unique physiological and psychological needs of children. Effective pediatric pain control involves a combination of pharmacological, non-pharmacological and integrative strategies tailored to the child's developmental stage, the type and severity of pain and individual patient factors. This article explores the complexities of pediatric pain, highlights the challenges in assessing and treating pain in children and discusses various methods for managing both acute and chronic pain in this population.
