    Introduction: Adolescents are considered one of the essential assets in any culture. Parental styles have a significant effect on the growth of teenagers. In general, parents are the primary and most critical socializing agent of children and parents play a significant role in defining an individual's personality. Aim: This study was designed to assess the relationship between the perception of parenting style and self-esteem and the association of self-esteem with the selected demographic variables. Materials and methods: It is a correlational study in which a disproportionate stratified random sampling technique was used to select 240 adolescents between 13 and 17 years studying in 8th, 9th and 10th standards from two different schools.
