Multidrug-Resistant Tuberculosis (MDR-TB) is a form of tuberculosis that is resistant to at least two of the most effective first-line anti-TB drugs:
isoniazid and rifampicin. It occurs when the bacteria that cause TB develop mutations that make them resistant to these drugs. MDR-TB is a
serious global health concern as it is more challenging to treat and control than drug-susceptible TB. Rapid and accurate diagnosis of MDR-TB
is crucial for effective patient management, initiation of appropriate treatment, and prevention of further transmission. Over the years, various
