Introduction: Rabies is a lethal but preventable viral disease impacting the central nervous systems of mammals, including humans. It is primarily
transmitted through the saliva of infected animals when it bites or scratches healthy animals. In Techiman, Ghana, due to high incidences of dog
bites and the presence of stray dogs.
Case presentation: We present this article exploring the impact of community-based rabies education programs on promoting preventive health
behaviors in Techiman. Through school programs, community meetings and media campaigns.
