  The plastic pollution crisis has emerged as one of the most pressing environmental issues of our time, with wide-ranging impacts on ecosystems, human health, and global sustainability. This paper aims to comprehensively examine the multifaceted environmental and health effects of plastic pollution. Through an interdisciplinary approach, we analyse the sources, distribution, and persistence of plastic waste in various ecosystems. We also delve into the pathways through which micro plastics enter the food chain and subsequently affect human health.
