Meta-analysis of Metformin Absorption and Pharmacokinetics in Nine Species
Author(s): Saeed Razvi*
Meta-analysis is a powerful tool for synthesizing data across multiple studies to provide a comprehensive understanding of a particular topic.
In this study, we conducted a meta-analysis of metformin absorption and pharmacokinetics across nine different species. Metformin is a widely
prescribed drug for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus, but its pharmacokinetics can vary significantly between species, influencing
its efficacy and safety profile. By systematically reviewing and analyzing data from published studies, we aimed to elucidate species-specific
differences in metformin absorption and pharmacokinetics. Our findings reveal notable variations in metformin absorption rates, distribution
volumes and elimination half-lives among different species. These differences have important implications for translational research and drug
development, highligh.. Read More»
