Microvascular Disease (MVD) is an often-overlooked yet significant contributor to cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. It refers to the dysfunction or damage to the small blood vessels in the heart, including the coronary microvasculature, which plays a crucial role in supplying oxygen and nutrients to the heart muscle.
