Anti-HIV Effects and Immune System Modulation of Fractionated Crude Extracts from Alternaria alternata

HIV/AIDS remains a significant global health challenge, and there is a continuous search for novel antiviral agents. This study explores the
anti-HIV activity and immunomodulatory effects of fractionated crude extracts of A. alternata, a filamentous fungus. The crude extracts were
fractionated into various components, which were then tested for their potential to inhibit HIV replication and modulate immune responses. The
results demonstrated that certain fractions of A. alternata exhibited substantial anti-HIV activity by reducing viral replication and enhancing the
host immune response. These findings suggest that A. alternata could be a valuable source of new therapeutic agents for HIV treatment and
