  Epilepsy, a neurological disorder characterized by recurrent seizures, affects around 50 million people worldwide. Despite the availability of various Antiepileptic Drugs (AEDs), approximately one-third of patients have drug-resistant epilepsy, also known as refractory epilepsy.
