Bringing a new life into the world is often depicted as one of life's most joyous occasions. However, for many new mothers, the period following
childbirth can be accompanied by a range of intense emotions, including sadness, anxiety and despair. While some degree of mood fluctuation
is common after giving birth, for some women, these feelings can escalate into a serious condition known as Postpartum Depression (PPD).
Postpartum depression is a form of clinical depression that occurs after childbirth, affecting approximately 1 in 10 women according to the
American Psychological Association. It is important to distinguish between the "baby blues," a milder and more common condition characterized
