Biography

Abd Almonem Doolaanea was graduated from Aleppo University (Aleppo, Syria) in 2006 as bachelor in pharmacy and pharmaceutical chemistry. After that he worked in Razi Labs Pharmaceuticals as quality control manager for about three years (2006-2009). In 2008 he was appointed as assistant lecturer in Aleppo University. In late 2009, Abd Almonem moved to Malaysia to continue his study in Faculty of Pharmacy (International Islamic University Malaysia). He started his Master working on non-viral gene therapy for Alzheimer disease. After three semester his application to upgrade his Master to PhD was approved and finally he obtained his PhD in pharmaceutical science (pharmaceutical technology) in Nov 2014. During his PhD he worked in the faculty as lab demonstrator. From Mar 2014 to Nov 2014 he also worked as R&D executive in IKOP SDN BHD, the pilot plant of the faculty for GMP Halal pharmaceutical manufacturing. Directly after that, in Dec 2014 he started working as assistant professor in department of pharmaceutical technology, Faculty of Pharmacy, International Islamic University Malaysia. At the same time he is also the production executive in IKOP SDN BHD. In the faculty he teaches undergraduates and postgraduates (Master Industrial pharmacy) and he is the person-in-charge for Advanced Drug Delivery Lab.
