Biography

Dr. Abhijeet Joshi is currently an Innovative Young Biotechnologist Award (IYBA) fellow in Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB). Dr. Joshi earned a B. Pharm (2005) from Mumbai University, India, and M.S.(Pharm) in Pharmaceutics (2007) from National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER Mohali), India. He then completed his PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering in 2011 at IITB, India. He has won several awards for breakthrough research His current research work deals with ‘Prolonged Drug Delivery for Diabetes Management’. His research interests include biomedical engineering, drug delivery, protein delivery, biomaterials. He has over 5 patent applications and over 10 peer reviewed research articles.
