Dr. Ikem is an associate professor at Lincoln University (LU). He developed two teaching and research laboratories in the United States in the last fifteen (15) years and his area of expertise is chemical instrumentations, laboratory development, and quality assurance. Currently, he teaches general chemistry online to non-majors and instrumental analysis at the graduate level at LU. In the last decade and half, Dr. Ikem has published several peer reviewed research articles on drinking water, groundwater, surface water, food/food ingredients, wastewater management and chemical remediation of toxic compounds.
Currently, he serves on the editorial board of Chemical Sciences Journal and as a reviewer for Hazard and Hazardous Materials, Food Composition and Analysis, Estuarine, Coastal and Shelf Science, Chemosphere, Food and Chemical Toxicology, Soil and Sediment Contamination, Talanta, Water Research, Bulletin Environmental Contamination and Toxicology, Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry and Food Quality Journals.
