Marisa Agostini is a research fellow in accounting at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice where she had her Ph.D. in Business. She was a visiting J-1 researcher at the McCombs School of Business (UT at Austin, USA) in 2010. Agostini studies the role of international financial accounting and standards harmonization. Her recent work examines the intersection between accounting history and corporate crisis. Her research counts both national and international publications. She participated as presenter at several conferences such as the International accounting and auditing Conference (Amsterdam, 2012), the 48th BAFA Annual Conference (Brighton,2012), the International Accounting Conference Accounting Renaissance (Venice,2011), the 15th Annual Conference Financial Reporting And Business Communication Research Unit (Bristol, 2011), the Annual accounting conference organized by the University of Texas at Austin and entitled “The Intersection of Economics and Psychology in Accounting Research” (Austin, 2010). She is also qualified to practice chartered accountancy and auditing professions.
