Akshay Kumar Rathore joined Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore on Nov 2010 as an Assistant Professor. He received Masters in Electrical Machines and Drives from Banaras Hindu University (IT-BHU), Varanasi, India in 2003. He was awarded Gold Medal for securing highest academic standing among all the electrical engineering specializations. He obtained PhD in Power Electronics from University of Victoria, BC, Canada in 2008. He was a postdoctoral researcher at Electrical Machines and Drives Research Lab, University of Wuppertal, Germany from Sept. 2008-Aug. 2009. Subsequently, he joined University of Illinois at Chicago, USA as a postdoctoral research associate from Sept. 2009 - Sept. 2010.
