Dr Alamdar Hussain is an Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutics at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center OUHSC. He received his PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Prior to his appointment at OUHSC. He was an Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Louisiana College of Pharmacy.
Dr. Hussain’s research primarily focuses in the field of inhalation protein and peptide drug delivery. He is currently investigating ways to improve absorption of drugs by non-invasive routes in laboratory animals. He is also exploring and understanding the mechanisms of peptide and protein drug transport in vitro in cell culture models. Apart from bench research, Dr. Hussain also actively involves in implementing novel methods of teaching and assessment in the classroom.
