Amer Abdullah El Korashy
Professor
The British University in Egypt, Egypt
Dr Amer El-Korashy graduated his B. Sc. In Physics in 1976 from Assiut University. He earned his M. Sc. In 1980 on the study of simple technique to fabricate a solar cell through a cooperation between Dr Sorour Res. Lab. In Assiut University and Semiconductors Lab. in the American University in Cairo under the supervision of Professor H. Omar. Under a channel scheme between Assiut University and Strathclyde University in Glasgow he got the Ph. D. on Crystallography and physical characterization of single ferroelectric crystals. He joined many projects in Strathclyde University on topography and studding the batch crystallizations process using on line analytical techniques, measuring the nucleation of several crystal materials in Heriot Watt University and also a projection structural modeling of phase transitions in tetrahedral compounds. He was invited as a visiting science to Heriot Watt University and also joined many conferences as a member of British Crystallographic Association and British Association for crystal growth Annual meeting. In addition he was an organizer of many conferences on thin films, physics Education, crystallography and new materials and nanotechnology. He is a reviewer in many physics Journals such as Physica B, Thin solid films, Optical communication, Turkish Physics and surface Physics. He has good experiences in high vacuum technology and thin film in addition to optical and electrical measurements techniques. He also has an experience in x-ray topography and crystal growth technologies.
