Dr. Andriy Babsky has received his PhD in Lviv State University, Ukraine during the period of 1980 to 1983. Currently, he is working as Assistant Research Professor in Indiana University. He has authored 56 research articles. He is a member of International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine and Ukrainian Physiological Society.
Andriy′s Research Interests include the noninvasive monitoring of chemotherapy efficiency in animal tumor models. The ionic and bioenergetic processes during and after hyperthermia treatment of tumor cells. The measurement of water diffusion in different tissue compartments. The influence of ischemic preconditioning on post-ischemic recovery in isolated perfused heart. The role of sodium and calcium in regulation of bioenergetic processes in healthy and diabetic hearts. The hormonal regulation of bioenergetic processes in mitochondria.
