Angela Spinola e Castro graduated in Medicine UNESP / Botucatu School of Medicine (1976), Residency in Internal Medicine, Master of Medicine in the area of Clinical Endocrinology, Federal University of São Paulo (1982) and Ph.D. in Applied Sciences and Pediatrics by Federal University of São Paulo (1993).Training in Pediatric Endocrinology at Johns Hopkins Hospital (1982-1984).Currently I am an associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics of the Federal University of São Paulo and the head of the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology, which I have organized in 1984, being responsible for the specialization course in this area. I was head of the Department of Pediatric Specialties of the same Department. I was a member of the board of the Department of Endocrinology Brazilian Society of Pediatrics (SBP) and I am the current coordinator of the areas of pediatric specialties from 2010 to 2013. I am a member of the Brazilian Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism (SBEM) and chairman of the Department of Pediatric Endocrinology, during the administrations from 2009 to 2011 and from 2011 to 2013. I am the current president of the Brazilian Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism of the joint committee responsible for board examination in the area of pediatric endocrinology. I am the current chairman of the Department of Endocrinology of the AssociaçãoPaulista de Medicina. I am a board member of the Brazilian Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism, regional São Paulo and a member of the Department of Endocrinology Pediatric Society of São Paulo (SPSP), of which I was the chairman in 1991. I am also a member of the following Societies - Latin American Society for Pediatric Endocrinology (SLEP) where he served on the ethics committee, management from 2010 to 2012, the European Society for Paediatric Endocrinology (ESPE), Endocrine Society (Active Member), Brazilian Society of Pediatric Oncology (SOBOPE) and the Brazilian Diabetes Society (SBD). Member of the Ethics Committee of the Hospital São Paulo.
