Biography

He received B.S. (1994) in Applied Chem from Xiangtan University, China and M.S. (1997 ) in Electrochem Corros from College of Chem & Chem Eng, Hunan University, China; PhD (2000) in Biosensors from College of Chem & Chem Eng, Hunan University, China. He received Gardner Junior Faculty Travel Fellowship Award, USU School of Graduate Studies. He has authored about many publications that include 1 book chapter, 14 peer reviewed articles, 2 patents, 9 invited talks, 65 conference presentations, 6 proceeding papers.

Research Interest

Single molecule detection of biomarker of breast cancer cells • Design and fabrication of Lab-on-a-chip based salinity microsensors for water quality monitoring • Integrated microsensor device for real time tracking bacterial chemotaxis • Electronic and optical sensing DNA at biointerfaces (electrochemistry, scanning tunnelmicroscopy, molecular beacon) • Bioimaging and probing cellular responses to chemical and mechanical stimuli at single cell level • Biocorrosion and biocompability study of surface engineered biomedical implant materials
