Institute of Microbial Technology, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR IMTECH), Chandigarh, India
Anirban Roy Choudhury is a Fermentation Engineer and presently working as a Senior Scientist at the Institute of Microbial Technology, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR-IMTECH), India. He obtained his M.Tech (Fermentation Technology) from UDCT, Mumbai, India and B.Tech (Food Technology and Biochemical Engineering) from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India. Prior to CSIR-IMTECH, he had worked for several industries as Fermentation Engineer. His current research activities include the development of bioprocesses for production of microbial polysaccharides and scaling up those processes to pilot scale. He is also engaged in developing biological processes for production of biocompatible metal nanoparticles and finding out novel application of those nanoparticles. His research interests also include bioconversion of Agri-industrial wastes to value added products to create “Wealth from waste”
•Process and application development of microbial polysaccharides.
•Biological production and application of metal nanoparticles.
•Conversion of Agri-industrial residues to value added product via fermentation.
