Anita Kumari Patlolla
Department of Biology/Environmental Science
Jackson State University, USA
Her main area of research is toxicity studies of heavy metals with biological systems, with an emphasis on elucidating the relationship between the physical and chemical properties (e.g. size, shape, surface chemistry, composition, and aggregation) of heavy metals with induction of toxic biological response. Dr. Patlolla has extensive experience on the toxicokinetics, molecular mechanisms of toxicity and histopathology of heavy metals in animal models. She also has expertise in Genotoxicity Bioassay such as Chromosomal aberrations, Micronucleus Test and Comet assay etc which are highly useful in constructing a risk assessment model. Dr. Patlolla has authored several peer-reviewed publications, and made 150 presentations at national and international scientific meetings.
