Anna Panchenko

Anna Panchenko earned her PhD at Moscow State University and subsequently moved to the Physics Department of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Then she joined the National Center for Biotechnology Information of the National Institutes of Health where she is currently an Associate Investigator. Dr Panchenko has published 50 articles and book chapters and was an editor for a recently published book on protein-protein interactions. Currently she serves as an editor and associate editor for several journals. Dr Panchenko also holds an Adjunct Faculty position in the Whiting School of Engineering at Johns Hopkins University and has more than six years of teaching experience. She has organized three international conferences and has been on the program committees of many others.
Studying the evolution of proteins and their complexes, mechanisms of oligomerization, prediction and annotation of protein binding sites, identifying cancer related protein-protein interaction networks.
