Synthesis of mesoporous silica materials with controlled pore size by self-assembly of surfactants, the control of their morphology (spheres, monoliths) by pseudomorphic synthesis, the analysis of pore texture by adsorption and intrusion isotherms, large-scale synthesis for applications in catalysis and chromatography and the set up of biocompatible synthesis for encapsulation of enzymes and polyenzymatic systems aiming at the development of nanobioreactors in heterogeneous catalysis.
