Arian Novruzi
Associate Professor, Dept. of Mathematics & Stats
University of Ottawa, Ottawa, ON, K1N 6N5, Canada
Arian Novruzi got his PhD in Mathematics and Applications in 1997, at Universite Henri Poincare Nancy 1, France. His PhD thesis research was around shape derivatives, their structure and applications. He is the first who applied Newtons method on shape optimization problems. After his PhD, Arian did have two years of postdoc at Inria Lorraine, France, and two more years at UBC, Vancouver, Canada, where he initiated original shape optimization research applied to hydrogen fuel cells. Since 2002 Arian Novruzi is associate professor at University of Ottawa, Canada. He has made several contributions in shape optimization problems with applications to hydrogen fuel cells, the existence and regularity of optimal shapes.
