Artur Sowa earned a PhD at The City University of New York in 1995. Afterward he held postdoctoral positions at The City University of New York and Yale University. Subsequently he pursued applied mathematics research and high-tech entrepreneurship in a small business setting. He returned to the academe in 2007, and is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Saskatchewan.
