Research Interest

Aruna Turaka′s research interests are: Lung cancer involving the stereotactic body radiation therapy both for the primary and metastatic disease along with the role of different radiation therapy techniques for the resectable and unresectable NSCLC. Also, she is part of the clinical trials involving the use of targeted agents in the treatment of LANSCLC with concurrent chemoradiation therapy at Fox Chase Cancer Center. She has developed a database of the treatment of Head and neck malignancies with IMRT at FCCC during her fellowship, presented data at several national meetings and published in peer/non-peer reviewed journals.  she has also developed a database on ocular lymphoma and extra-nodal lymphoma and published/presented her work at different meetings. As a junior faculty at FCCC, she developed a database on the treatment outcomes for the Merkel Cell Carcinoma and presented abstracts in collaboration with the multispeciality teams at FCCC. Presently, she is developing a database on the SBRT outcomes for both the primary and metastatic lung cancer.  she has been given merit awards at national meetings for the H&N, Lymphoma presentations.
