Dr. Augustina Naami is an assistant professor at the Department of Social Work of the University of Northern Iowa. Her research interest focus on gender; physical disability; poverty and its impact, especially on the vulnerable population; social policy; and international social work. Dr. Naami has presented her research in several conferences including UNI Scholarship Matters Symposium, Cedar Falls, Iowa-2013; Canadian Association of African Studies conference in Toronto, Canada-2011;Pacific Rim Conference in Honolulu, Hawaii-2007; and the Society for Disabilities Studies Conference at Baruch University in New York-2007.
