Dr. B. M. Golam Kibria has received his Ph. D. degree in statistics from the University of Western Ontario, Canada. Presently, he is a Professor in the department of mathematics and statistics at Florida International University (FIU). Prior to joining at FIU, he was working at the University of British Columbia at the University of Western Ontario, Canada. Since 1993, he has about 125 research articles (in addition 25 proceedings and other journal publications) either published or accepted for publication in different internationally well reputed and peer reviewed statistical journals. His research interests (not limited) includes a. ridge regression b. predictive inference c. preliminary test and shrinkage estimation d. risk and environmental statistics e. applied statistics. Dr. Kibria is serving as a Coordinating Editor for the Journal of Probability and Statistical Science and Associate Editor of Communications in Statistics –A & B. Presently, he is the member of the advisory/editorial board of twenty (20) different international Statistical and related journals. He is also a reviewer for the Mathematical Reviews.
