Dr. Amendolia is an Associate Clinical Professor at Drexel University and also practices clinically in the NICU at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ. She has an extensive clinical background in neonatology. Dr. Amendolia has worked as a neonatal nurse practitioner since 2003. She has received her BSN from Richard Stockton College of New Jersey in 1999, and her MSN as a neonatal nurse practitioner from the University of Pennsylvania in 2003. She earned her DrNP from Drexel University in 2011. While completing her doctoral studies at Drexel she was awarded the “Outstanding Second Year DrNP Clinical Scholar Award". Her dissertation “Feeding Intolerance in Preterm Infants on Different Modes of Oxygen Therapy”, evaluated differences in feeding intolerance between very-low-birth-weight infants maintained on different modes of oxygen support.
Her research interests include both feeding difficulties and respiratory diseases of the newborn.
