Baruch Rosenstein
Professor of Physics
National Chiao Tung University Hsinchu, Taiwan
Baruch Rosenstein received his Ph.D. from Tel Aviv University, Israel in the field of field theory in 1987. During postdocs in University of Texas (1987-89) and University of British Columbia (1989-1992) the research interests shifted to applications of field theory to condensed matter physics. Last 20 years he worked mostly on the magnetic vortex physics in high Tc superconductors. The work was summarized in recent Review of Modern Physics article written with the long term collaborator D.P. Li (Peking University) and the book "Physics of topological vortex matter" is being prepared for publication. Professor Rosenstein teaches at Electrophysics Department of National Chiao Tung University in Taiwan, R.O.C. from 1996. In particular the book it is based on the course "Physics of vortex matter in superconductors" that he taught at NCTU (and as Visiting Professor in Weizmann institute).
