PD Dr. Carl Haasper, MSc, came in 2003 to Hannover Medical School (MHH) and then followed the broad classical education in the Center of Surgery. It was clear from the beginning a clinical and academic focus on joint surgery and prevention. After completing the residency and habilitation (higher doctorate) for surgery, a fellowship at the renowned arthroplasty ENDO-Klinik Hamburg followed. Afterwards he was one of the consultants and member of faculty dealing mainly with the management of knee surgery at the Trauma Department of Hannover Medical School, before in 2012 he returned at the ENDO-Klinik. International experience has helped to shape his career decisively. Dr. Haasper has won several national and international research awards. His clinical focus is knee surgery, including the entire spectrum of arthroplasty of the knee and hip as well as trauma and reconstruction. Scientifically he focuses trauma prevention and regenerative surgery.
