Dr. Carmelo Chisari received his MD from the University of Padova (Italy). He did his neurology residency at Pisa University (Italy) where he received his Post-graduate specialization in Neurology. He receivedpostdoctoral training in Neurorehabilitation and Neurophysiologyat the Department of Neuroscience, University of Pisa. From 2003 he isAdjunt Assistant Professor of Neurorehabilitationat the University of Pisa. From 2012 isChiefof the“Laboratory for the study and treatment of motor disorders”at the University Hospital of Pisa. Dr. Chisari’s lab is interested in the mechanisms underlying plastic changes in the human central nervous system and in the development of novel therapeutic approaches for recovery of function based on the understanding of these mechanisms. Referee ad hoc for several International Journals in the field of Neuroscience and Neurorehabilitation.
