Biography

Dr. Xiao is currently a Research Scholar in National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) at University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). His is also a member of International Association of Chinese Professionals in Geographic Information Sciences (CPGIS). He serves as the reviewer for the leading international journal in the area of Geographical Information Science – International Journal of Geographical Information Science. He has published papers in Environmental Modelling & Software, Sensors, International Journal of Geo-information, and Science China-Information Science etc. He is the Editorial Board member of two books and one international journal. He has held several patterns and software copyrights in the area of sensor web. As one of the main contributors, has successfully proposed to initiate an international standard in International Telecommunication Union - Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) SG20.
