Dr. Cheryl Hankin is a respected leader in health economics and outcomes research for the pharmaceutical, biotech, health care device, medical informatics, and drug delivery industries. She graduated from Wellesley College with highest academic honors (Wellesley College Scholar) before earning her doctorate in clinical psychology from Pacific Graduate School of Psychology and completing dual postdoctoral fellowships in Health Services Research and Gerontology at the Department of Veterans Affairs, Health Services Research and Development Centers of Excellence. Dr. Hankin is President and Chief Scientific Officer of BioMedEcon, LLC. Her passion to affect positive change in healthcare is the driving force behind the success of BioMedEcon. Dr. Hankin’s experience in Health Economics and Outcomes Research spans the health care industry (Director of Outcomes Research at Johnson and Johnson companies), academia (Assistant Professor at Boston University School of Public Health) and the public sector (Research Health Scientist at the Department of Veterans Affairs, Health Services Research and Development Center of Excellence). She has authored and delivered over 150 peer-reviewed publications and presentations. Prior to entering the healthcare field, Dr. Hankin served as a corporate controller to Silicon Valley industry, where she provided expertise in conducting financial analyses, forecasting, budgeting, and competitive market evaluations for breakthrough technologies. She therefore has an in-depth understanding of the scientific and business strategies that are required for successful commercialization of innovations in health care.
