Chris graduated in Law from University College Cardiff in 1977 and qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales in 1980 dealing in general commercial matters.. He moved into academia in 1990. Chris has been Chair of the UK Association of Law Teachers and is a long standing Quality Assurance Agency reviewer. He is an external examiner at a number of institutions . He served as Secretary/Treasurer to the Committee of Heads of University Law Schools from 2009 to 2012 and is currently Vice Chair.
Chris joined Bradford University Law School as inaugural Head and Director of Legal Studies in 2005. Chris plays a full part in the Faculty and University through membership of various committees and groups. He has also been appointed as a Visiting Professor at University of Wales, Newport.
Chris’s research interests are in the areas of legal education and rights with a particular emphasis on human rights , sport and the law, and the interaction of business with the law.
