She was started career in 1997 when she joined the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in India as a junior research fellow for a Ph. D program in Biochemistry. Later, after receiving a Parker B-Francis pulmonary fellowship, She was promoted to Research Assistant professor and she started independent work to understand the pulmonary vascular remodeling associated with right heart failure in HIV-infected individuals.She is an Assistant professor in the Department of Internal Medicine and have been carrying out independent projects in her lab from past two years.These findings have recently been published in the ‘Am J Respir Cell Mol Biol’. Additionally, our recent publication in the ‘Resp. Research’ provides evidence of severe pulmonary medial hypertrophy and moderate right ventricular hypertrophy in an HIV-Transgenic rat model.
