Biography

Prof/Dr. Dongmin Liu received his PhD in Nutritional Physiology at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University Virginia Tech in 2000. Currently he is working as an associate professor in the Department of Human Nutrition at Virginia Tech. He is also the director of Molecular Nutrition Laboratory. He is serving on grant review committee for American Heart Association and American Diabetes Association and is an editorial member of several journals like World Journal of Diabetes and Open Journal of Endocrinology. He has authored over 30 peer reviewed research articles/books. He is a member of American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association and American Society of Nutrition.

Identification of bioactive compounds for treatment of diabetes and vascular disease; Beta cell biology; vascular wall biology.
