Dr. Ashraf Darwish

Dr. Ashraf Darwish received the PhD degree in computer science from Saint Petersburg State University, Russian Federation in 2006 and is currently an assistant professor at the Faculty of Science, Helwan University, Egypt.
\r\nDr. Darwish teaches artificial intelligence, information security, data and web mining, intelligent computing, image processing ( in particular image retrieval, medical imaging), modeling and simulation, intelligent environment, body sensor networking.
\r\nDr. Darwish is an editor and member of many computing associations such as IEEE, ACM, EMS , QAAP, IJCIT , IJSIEC , IJIIP , IJITNA , IJCISIM , SMC , Quality Assurance and Accreditation Authority (Egypt) and a board member of the Russian-Egyptian Association for graduates, and Machine Intelligence Research Lab (MIR Lab) USA.
\r\nDr. Darwish is author of many scientific publications and his publications include papers, abstracts and book chapters by Springer and IGI publishers. He keeps in touch with his mathematical background through his research. His research, teaching and consulting mainly focuses on artificial intelligence, information security, data and web mining, intelligent computing, image processing, modeling and simulation, intelligent environment, body sensor networks, and theoretical foundations of computer science.
\r\nDr. Darwish has a wealth of academic experience and has authored multiple publications which include papers and book chapters on computational intelligence. His publications have appeared in international journals, conferences and publishing houses such as IEEE Systems, Man & Cybernetics Society (SMC) on Soft Computing, Springer and Advances in computer science and engineering.
\r\nDr. Darwish was invited as reviewer, invited speaker, organizer, and session chair to many international conferences and journals. He worked in a wide variety of academic organizations and supervises a lot of master and PhD theses in different areas of computer science. He speaks four languages on a daily basis. Currently, Dr. Darwish working in ministry of foreign affairs as cultural and educational attaché of Egypt in Kazakhstan.
